Finally, my cricket career has come to an end. For 12 years, i've been playing the game, and wonderfully enchanted by the sport itself. after all, it's a gentlemen's game ;)
my final farewell to the game wasn't ended with flying colours, though. we were beaten twice by UNITEN and UIA. as the home team, we failed to make it to the semifinal. my batting was quite disastrous, caught at the boundary line by Raj (i really thought it's gonna cross the line ah, cih :p) during the first game with UNITEN. and even worse got bowled out with 0 run the next day against UIA. damn. i got the 'DUCK'.hahahahah. never in my playing career got duck before. and i got it in my final game. ceh, what a story lah. nonetheless, we fielded superbly. we attacked the opponent with good bowlings. thanks to our spinners, pak lan and amir. unfortunately, due to our poor batting scores, they reached the target score easily.

i'm still proud of our team. despite lack of training and experiences, we still managed to play happily as a team. of winning would be a bonus. especially to our coach Mr. Kushan. he's done a great job in coaching us. given more time, i believe we can improve better. we only had two practice matches before the tournament and they're definitely not enough for us. our key player also got MIA. in the last minute he suggested few names, but it's already too late. if he gave the names earlier then it'd be a different story.
the most hardworking man in the team was Shankar. i'm really grateful to have him to assist me. experience wise, he should've been the captain. but he's really a great guy, letting me to grab the chance. thanks for everything bro! next year the captaincy task will definitely fall in ur arms ;)
so i'd like to list down all the players names and jot down few things bout them. coz i really enjoyed playin with u guys. so bad that we've lost, but let's take it as a valuable lesson for the future.
1) shankar - the vice captain, and the last minute wicket keeper. he he. u did well as a WK. we should've paired as the opening batsmen la. but then it's Mr Kushan decision to play u with Imran. thanks for all ur help throughout the games!
2) amir - or amir jambu as nipi called him :p.hahahhahah. archrival to shankar. hahaha ade jeee bende yg nk digaduhkan depa bedue nih. he's my roomate during the tournament. nice guy really he is. jgn jelesss aa mer. 3 org bebbb hahahahhahaha :D. i'll always remember his wicked and sinister laughs. taun depan ko batting betul2 weh. rugi mati awal2. the team needs u ;)
3) paklan - our LEGEND. hahahahahhaaa. 26 runs during first game. took boundary with harbinder's bowl. got 4 or 5 wickets with his off spin. thanks for comin la bro. dunno what'll happen if u didn't come. like i said before, ur experiences are truly monumental and help the team a lot. sori la wehh aku makan kfc ngn fida malam tu. aku tatau dooooo. x plan pon. ko jugakk yg kate nk makan ngn nipi dulu. klu aku tau aku makan sorg2 jee hahahahhahaa :p
4) nipi - the choki-choki guy. true fan of benson's :p. our lead singer during the Malam persembahan..mmm u got to try harder boy. i noticed that u're getting more confident when batting, but still need more training kay. be a leg spinner! our team needs one. in time, i'm definitely sure u can bowl dangerously to the batsmen ;)
5) jawi- ooo ni paling kaya skali dlm team nih.hahahahaa.jd sukerelawan yee. hehe. i'm sorry that u've not given the chance to bowl. ur bowlings are good, but we had to try other option. besides, i'm aware that ur deliveries might go short at the middle of the pitch. that's why i didn't let u bowl. however, with more training i believe u can improve ur bowling line and u definitely has the quality to be the opening bowler :)
6) ben - the only first year student from eng. campus. clearly we're running out of players in usm.my batch got kuman, peja, paklan, boss, iqbal and daus. the next batch even better with pedot, karthik, jiwer and shauki. so ur task is to recruit more players next year. otherwise, we won't have a team.
7) salman - hohohoohho old timer nih. hhee. thanks gak for playing this year. ur batting still good just like the old days. however ur bowl sucks man! hahaha. 30 plus runs in 4 overs aa? hehehe. like u said la, try be a spinner. i think that suits u well. hehe.
